Not only will there be a vast difference in the pricing, but you will also see a different in the quality of the wine, taste and affects it has on you and your body. You may not think there is a difference buty when you compare wine prices, then you need to consider all aspects that goes into making that wine a truly fine wine versus mass produced wines. And believe me, there is a difference.

Fine wines versus Mass produced wines

Fines wines versus mass produced wines is a great topic of conversion. Some people really don’t know there is a difference. Not all high-priced wines are truly fine wines. Sometimes you are paying for popularity, a celebrity name or endorement. There are times you are paying a higher price for a wine because of a charity or benefit. However, that does not constitute that is it necessarily a true fine wine. There are some things that need to be looked at to make that distinction. So let’s have a look.

What are mass produced wines – Compare Wine Prices

Mass produced wines. Ever heard of them. Of course you have. Those are those wine you buy every year with the same label, same color, same price and yes, same taste. That is your first clue that you have a mass produced wine. A true fine wine has a different taste from year to year. I will explain this in more detail later. Also, those wines sometimes give you headaches or make you feel a bit queasy, light-headed or even sick. Again, a clue that it is not a fine wine.

Most mass produced wines are called fortified punches in the wine communities. They are the bases of wine but with added ingredients. To gain the same taste year after year, sulfites are added to the wines. This enhances the chemical breakdown of the fruit to attain the flavor and taste they want. Hence, you get the same coloring and taste every year. In the traditional art of wine making, this would never be allowed. Anything artifical added to the wine does not allow the wine to achieve its full appeal. You lose vital health benefits as well as a great experience of a true fine wine. By speeding up the process, you are missing out on a truly fine wine experience.

Now let me explain the makings of a true fine wine and then you can see why there is really no comparision when you compare wine prices.

What makes a fine wine

These wines look great… right. Here are some examples of fine wines made exclusively in Napa and Sonoma Valley wineries. These wines are made in the old-world traditional way of wine making. Only the heartiest of grapes go into a fine wine. It is processed in either hot presses, for red or Cold-processing, for whites. Then it goes into the various processes from there.

Once it passes the stages necessary, it is then vated in wine barrels for fermentation. This is where all those natural chemical combine and mix together to produce a superb liquid. This usually takes months and sometimes years. After this, it is tasted my the wine makers. Looked at for clarity, color, acidity and most of all taste. The weather, land condition, temperature, soil conditions and air quality has a lot to do with how a grap will taste from year to year. As a result, the same grape can have a different taste from year to year. In so much, so will the wines made from the grape. So as stated above, a true fine wine would and should have varying tastes and coloring from year to year.

After it passes this process, it is then bottled. And guess what? These bottles are then stored for maybe another couple months to years to age. So when you buy a fine wine, it could be anywhere from 2 – 5 years old.

Health Benefits of a Fine Wine

Not only that, by going through the proper processing, you retain the healthy benefits that come along with a fine wine. Like help with blood flow, heart health, decreased blood pressure, help with anxiety and sometimes moods of depressed state. And always a glass of fine wine helps to just wind down at the end of the day. The plus side is that a true fine wine will not give you headaches!!! There are no added sulfites or chemicals in a wine processed correctly. That is why the aging process takes so long.

Price comparison of wines – Compare wine prices

So now with this new information, I hope it sheds some light on why there is such a price difference between the grocery store mass produced wines and the fine wines. But if you look at the grand sceme of things, the comparison in price is truly not a valid reason to try some fine wines. Give your taste buds some variety. Let me give you an example of what I mean when you compare wine prices.

In one of my favorite steak houses, they serve wines. I can say that I don’t recognize the labels, but they are mostly massed produced wines. You can order them from any store or wine chain store. In our wine club, you get 4 bottles of quality, exclusive fine wines from Napa and Somona Valleys for $99.95 as a member. I hear people complain about the price being too high for only 4 bottles of wine. But in each shipment at least 1 bottle in the group is valued at least $100 a bottle.

Restaurant Prices versus Club Pricing

But lets compare wine prices at my favorite restraurant. Say you are having a steak and would like a merlot to go with it. By the way, we have a great Ricord Merlot that goes with just about anything. Anyway, a glass of “signature” merlot at this eatery is $7.95 a glass. A bottle usually contains about 3-4 glasses, depending on the pour. So you are looking at about $30 a bottle.

Now let’s look at a Chardonnay. We have some great ones. I recently had Freedom Chardonnay with some Garlic-seasoned Southern fried chicken and fried sauteed potatoes smoothered in peppers and onions. It was delicious. But their chardonnay was $6.95 – $9.95 a glass or you could purchase the bottle from $23 to $35. Again, our wine club prices are still cheaper.

more than muse

The Rose, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blancs ran in the same category. We have a wine that honors the muses called More than Muse. It is an excellent wine and exclusively from our club out of Napa Valley. These prices in the restauarant costs anywhere from $6.75 to $10 a glass for these wines with the bottle prices ranging from $24 to $42. So again, our prices are cheaper.

Now this is just one of my favorite restraurants. I bet if you check your favorite, you will find the same thing. So why are you paying those prices for fortified punches when you can have the real thing for cheaper and delivered right to your door?

Conclusion – Better To join Our Wine Club

So my conclusion is simple. Why settle for a cheaper version of the real thing if I am going to pay the same prices. If you look at it from just a single glass at one meal, then you will not see the benefit. But if you look at it from every aspect of your life, being in our amazing wine club just makes sense. Imagine all the gifts you can account for from just a bottle of wine. The celebrations you can have and cheer to with wine right from your own cellar or wine collection. Holiday gift giving, parties, weddings, birthdays and just having a glass at the end of a long day is a great reason to invest in yourself with your own wine club.
