Home based business ideas are something I am sure we all have had at one time or another. However, let’s not get our home based business and work from home job confused. They are totally different. If you are like me, I didn’t grow up thinking that I was going to work for someone all my life. I had dreams of making my own money. Being able to do what I wanted when I wanted. Never did I think that I would literally have to ask for time off. Growing up and watching my parents, I just assumed they took off work when they wanted to. Not once did I think they had to ask for that time off. They made working look so easy. Although my parents were hard workers and we never lacked for anything, they did take pride in what they did. But as I look back, I realize that they really didn’t have a lot of time for themselves. Between working 40 and sometimes 50 hour weeks and taking care of my sister and me, their time was limited.
But when I entered the workforce, I realized that I had a great misconception of how working for someone else really worked. Let me tell you I realized fairly quickly that I didn’t want to do this for the rest of my life. There had to be something else.
Getting Started
Then I remembered how I use to dream about having my own business. I had several home based business ideas swirling around in my head. All of them were good at least in my opinion. I just had to pick one and decide on how to make it work. Once I chose the one I wanted getting it started was the next step.
First step is to remember that this not a work from home type of deal. This is going to be a home based business!!! I will still need to work a J-O-B to help get my business up and running. That is the downfall to most startup home based businesses. They quit their jobs too early. You have some home based business ideas to chose from. You pick one. Get it all set up and ready to go and then you quit your job!!! How in the world are you going to finance your venture until it gets on its feet?
Sad to say that sometimes we need to keep that job to help fund our home based business ideas. Having that steady income coming in helps offset costs to running a business. It also ensures that bills will be paid to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads.

Do you have any writing skills? I love to write. Putting my ideas on paper and creating a story or blog is amazing. It is called blogging. It is becoming the rage of the era. With this platform, you can encompass just about all your home based business ideas. We all have to battle the bulge sometime in our lives. If you haven’t yet, believe me it is coming. I have struggled with weight since I had my last child, almost 28 years ago. Either from age or just laziness, I am not sure, but it just will not go away on a permanent basis. It keeps fluctuating no matter what I do. I starve myself or cut out eating my favorite foods and lose the weight. Guess what, as soon as I start eating them again, her comes the weight. I am Southern. Because of that I love to cook and eat. So giving up my favorite foods is so not an option.
Well, since I started my blog site, I can now write about my experiences. It might relate to someone who is going through the same thing and give them some hope that their is a solution. I bet you also posted it on your social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Let me ask you something. Did you make any revenue from those companies your told them about?
