Summer fun ideas for adults can be both enjoyable and daunting. Especially with those of us with children, having adult summer fun is challenging. We have to consider those activities for the family as well. However, as the night rolls around, we want to let our hair down and relax and enjoy the summer as well. So finding those summer fun ideas for adults is something that I will endeavor to find.

I for one enjoy the beach and warmer weather. Traveling is also a great pasttime I enjoy. However, traveling with children on long journeys is not always so enjoyable. Depending on the age, a 2-hour trip can become 4. Bathroom breaks, food, and basically just getting away from the road causes your time to be put on hold. When you get to you destination, you are truly ready for some summer fun ideas for adults.
SUMMER FUN IDEAS FOR ADULTS – FAMILY-FRIENDLY
Family-friendly activities are fun during the summer or basically anytime of the year. Spending time with my family helps me to reflect all the enjoyable, and sometimes not so enjoyable, moments. Now that I have grandchildren, I find myself comparing them to their father and mother. It is surprising how similar they are.
My grandson enjoys the same things as my son and my granddaughter enjoys the same things as my daughter. However, she also wants to compete with her brother in all things. Typical in our family. Competition is always healthy and gender should never play a part in what one should be able to accomplish. 
However, I enjoy alone time with my husband as well. Even while we had our small children, we took the time to be with just each other. Having that alone time to always know what the other it thinking and strenghtening that connection that brought us together. Remembering that when the kids are gone, we will only have each other. We didn’t want to wake up one day and discover we had become strangers. So spending that adult time together was key.
ADULT IDEAS FOR SUMMER FUN
Since it is summer, I find myself longing for the beach and warmer weather. As the club scene is not my ideal place for fun activities, a walk on the beach is more along my way of thinking. A bonfire on the sands of the beach is always a great thing to see. Relaxing under the stars with that significant other to be is both enjoyable and let’s face it sexy.
Having a picnic at the park or just a small intimate dinner on the patio with some soft music, the breeze from the ocean and a bottle of wine is just too romantic for words. Nothing beats feeling that special connection between two people who enjoy each other company.
